On the Highway, before me The City of God (New Jerusalem)
Escape from below…the City of God before me:
- A dream of the night (2006 or 07′)
I’m on a two lane highway, on the left side of the road, facing the direction of on-coming traffic, of which there is none. My Sister is on the right side of the road standing and facing me.
There is a wide area of the highway’s shoulder on my left. Within the wide area there is a volcano about 80-100 feet high, spewing lava. Next to the volcano is a small shack, about the size of an outhouse. There is a line of people at the entrance to the shack waiting to get in. I then find myself in the line.
Next, I find myself going in the shack¹, it is not an outhouse. There is a dark stairway leading down, with the line of people descending on it. I begin descending as well. The atmosphere becomes oppressive, hot, dark, crowded and foreboding. I notice someone buried alive in the wall to the right, somehow I could see inside the grave, which glowed red as if lit with embers. Fear engulfed me and I turned around and began struggling back up the stairway against the direction of the crush of those descending.

Then:
Perhaps this is where a new dream begins, but I then find myself on the same highway and the countryside is now tranquil. Before me, about a day’s hike away, is a most beautiful city on a hill¹, and the road that I am on leads to it. The city on the hill is lit from within, even all of its members and materials, luminesces as a jewel with its own source of light², in beautiful living color. It is only a day’s hike away…it’s reachable.
