Satan/Devil stands before me, tempting
Luke 4:6-8 NKJV (Jesus tempted in the wilderness)
And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! Satan stands before me:
- a dream of the night (#4 pre- 4-24-03)…
- In this dream I was in the grasp of a large thug, behind me, amongst two(?) other demons before Satan.
- Satan was attired in dark princely clothing.
- He had black, slicked back hair with a widows peak.
- His eyes were entirely black, no whites to them, like obsidian orbs.
- He was not human, whereas the demons/thugs were.
- I was in the grip of the largest of the three thugs.
- Satan speaking to me said, “Use the power of darkness and I will set you free.
- I refused him saying, “No”
- Immediately, I was released from the demon’s grip and was caught up, lifted up above, set free, when I submitted to God, not the devil.
Dream End
- (7-19-18 Th. 12:33pm): the setting in my mind, of this dream, is that it took place in a Greek or Roman ruin.
- (10-17-20 7:54am): recalling further now: the setting was a Greek ruin, onstage.
Insight:
- I’ve wondered for years what Satan might have meant by, “the power of darkness.”
- The best answer I could come up with as to what the power of darkness is, is that the power of darkness is a lie, that is…lies are very powerful and Satan was a liar from the beginning.¹
¹ You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
