Pg. 11: Eagle / Wolves dream

Eagle / Wolves dream (96′ or 97′ pre-conversion)

Eagle, Wolves dream: (96′ or 97′)

  • A dream of the night.
  • (I was not walking with God…I was living in sin.)

In this dream I found myself in the wilderness,  at night. Suddenly a golden eagle like a bolt from above struck at my heart piercing my chest with it’s talons. Reflexively I grabbed a hold of it while crying out loudly upward, “I will tear your eagle apart!”

Immediately the eagle was gone. Then I noticed a black wolf coming towards me. The wolf didn’t shake my confidence at first, because I believed that I could kill it with my bare hands, but, stepping into view behind that wolf a second black wolf. I then knew that I couldn’t take them both. If I struggled with one the other would tear me apart.

End

5-31-21 Mo. 3:46pm: inclusion…

  • Obvious to me now (for many years) the eagle was meant by God to prick* at my heart…
  • …and when I wasn’t turned by His goads*, wolves were released upon me.
  • Then, I knew my weakness…and eventually turned to God for salvation.

* “And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew dialect, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ And I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.”
