Pg. 84: Broke out and had surgery

Broke out and had surgery

Broke out and had surgery

  • A dream of the night while fasting (1-29-2019′).
  • In this dream I found myself in a darkened room which had no exits…no doors or windows at all.
  • I really wanted out of that room so I ran at a wall and smashed my way through it.
  • Free of the darkened room I now found myself outside in the daylight, where…
  • I was then met by a Man who had the persona of someone who could go anywhere and get anything done.
  • He then handed me a knife. It had the look of antiquity about it.
  • The ancient knife I held was like no other I have seen. It folded for pocket carrying, yet the blade was more like a scalpel.
  • After examining the Knife I gratefully accepted it, then folded and stowed the gift in my pocket.
  • But then, instantly, the Man somehow had the Knife back in His hand.
  • Then my right hand was in His,  and I calmly watched, as He masterfully (with a smile) plunged the scalpel deeply, yet painlessly, into my hand.
  • I saw only one single drop of blood during this procedure…then I woke up.

  • This dream was to prove prophetic for me as it wouldn’t be long before I did break out of a spiritually dark room, then met God in prayer, and by the Word of God prayed a prayer of faith, knowing for certain that the Lord would help, because His Word says that what I wanted was something that was according to His will. And He did help…I have been cut loose from the besetting sin (pornography). Thank you, Lord…He is able!

Hebrews 4:12-13 NASB: For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. https://bible.com/bible/100/heb.4.12-13.NASB

2-23-19 Sa. 10:43am: last night I was praying to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to be of some use…

  • And was wondering what this last breakthrough was like, the breakthrough of faith, and some insight came to me that I jotted down on the Post-it note below:

“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed.” Jeremiah 17:14

“I have seen his ways, and will heal him.” Isaiah 57:18

11-16-19 2:03pm: “It is for freedom that you have been set free.”

  • This word came to me on the stoop while contemplating, and this dream, the surgery, came to mind.
  • It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.

12-22-19 Su. 3:54pm: this quote from C.S. Lewis very much resonates with my experience of finally being set free…

C.S. Lewis:

“Now we cannot … discover our failure to keep God’s law except by trying our very hardest (and then failing). Unless we really try, whatever we say there will always be at the back of our minds the idea that if we try harder next time we shall succeed in being completely good. Thus, in one sense, the road back to God is a road of moral effort, of trying harder and harder. But in another sense it is not trying that is ever going to bring us home. All this trying leads up to the vital moment at which you turn to God and say, ‘You must do this. I can’t.’ ” ~ C. S. Lewis,  Mere Christianity

  • (Exactly what I did…and I was set free!).

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and gloom and broke their chains apart. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His faithful love and His wonderful works for all humanity. Psalms 107:13-15 HCSB

6-28-21 Mo. 9:19am: from today’s daily reading…

  • “It is a living Man, still as much a man as you, and still as much God as He was when He created the world, really coming and interfering with your very self; killing the old natural self in you and replacing it with the kind of self He has.” ~ C. S. Lewis  (Mere Christianity)
  • “Killing the old natural self” with the blade…the Word of God.
  • Thank you, Lord!

Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 3:19 NASB1995

and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 NASB1995
