Pg. 151 Wake up…God loves you!

“Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is
nearer to us than when we first believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let’s rid
ourselves of the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”
Romans 13:11,12 (NASB)

Are you strong enough to humble yourself and seek God’s face?
“He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”
Psalms 23:3 (NASB)

Or, are you strong and not in need of God?
I have heard it expressed, that sure, Faith in God is ok, for the weak, they need it, but I don’t.
Well, have you considered the concept of “the canary in the coal mine?” Poisonous air in the
mine kills the weak canary first, thus informing the miners of peril, that they may flee.
Yes, the weak do need Christ, it has become evident to them sooner, that they are in need,
because they are weak.
But the strong, the supposedly strong, they are soon also to be experiencing that which weakens.
The self assured strong men are like the miners in a coal mine who are unaware of the poison
gases in their mine. They will soon be weakened to the point of death if they remain.
But look around you, you who are strong, “the canary in the mine” has fallen to the bottom of its
cage! The same “poison gases” (lies of the Devil) in the air that has killed the canary will soon be killing you, mighty
man! Run, escape, save your souls! Run to Christ while He may yet be found! What has affected
the weak will soon be affecting the strong! Escape, save yourselves and run…run to Christ!

The joy of His presence

“For You make him most blessed forever; You make him joyful
with the joy of Your presence.”
Psalms 21:6 (NASB)
